A modern building in a beautiful selling, a real gem and part of “Twenty Wolfson Gems” which include dragons as well as architecture.

Wolfson College was founded in 1965 as Iffley College and officially became Wolfson College in 1966, taking its name from Sir Isaac Wolfson, whose philanthropic support helped establish it.  It is a graduate-only college, so it mainly serves master’s and doctoral students rather than undergraduates.

The college is located by the River Cherwell in a leafy part of north Oxford, giving it a quieter, more open feel than many of the older, central colleges. Its why this is a lovely landscape watercolour.

Interesting facts...

you can go on a tour of the “Twenty Wolfson Gems” , including the story of the Missing Tree, a dragon in the gardens, and “340-million-year-old creatures beneath our feet.” Now that sounds interesting.
