A quite beautiful architectural composition of two bridges jumping over the canal. even more lovely its called Ponte Del Paradiso.
The most charming local explanation claims the area was named "Paradise" because it was lavishly illuminated with spectacular light displays during major religious holidays, particularly on Good Friday.
The bridge was built in 1491 as part of a dowry deal. A historical record shows that the prominent Mocenigo and Foscari noble families merged their properties here. The Gothic arch over the bridge commemorates the 1491 marriage of Pellegrina Foscari and Alvise Mocenigo. As part of her dowry, Alvise gained ownership of 26 houses along this single alleyway

At the end of the bridge is an arch which marks the ownership of the properties. A clever device used in London to define Mews Streets.
