Queens’ College, Cambridge is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Cambridge and has been in the city for more than five centuries. It sits directly on the River Cam, with buildings on both banks, and is especially known for the Mathematical Bridge, which I have also painted.
 
Constantly extending medieval buildings sit alongside much later additions, so the college reads like a timeline of Cambridge architecture.

Queens’ was actually founded twice: first in 1448 by Margaret of Anjou, then re-founded in 1465 by Elizabeth Woodville, which is why the name is plural and the apostrophe comes after the s.
