A modern watercolour of something which looks old but really isn't.
 
Castello di Amorosa (“Castle of Love”) is an authentically built medieval castle that functions as a working winery and visitor attraction.  It was conceived and funded by fourth‑generation Napa winemaker Dario Sattui (also owner of V. Sattui Winery), who first sketched the idea while travelling in Europe as a teenager and then spent years searching for the right Napa site. 
 
Incredibly to was only completed on the 7 April 2007, after roughly 15 years of construction. About 121,000–136,000 sq ft, with 107 rooms, four levels above ground and four below. Made with 8,000 tons of hand‑chiseled local stone and nearly one million antique bricks imported from Europe.
 
It's a knockout for a northern Italian medieval fortress and estate. It also produces Italian‑style wines (Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon blends, Super‑Tuscan styles, etc.). Its open for tours.
 
Interesting facts...
There is actually an escape tunnel built into the hillside, just incase the Tuscans siege the castle one assumes?
