Uxbridge Tube Station is the western terminus of both the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, located in the town of Uxbridge in west London’s Borough of Hillingdon.  It sits in Travelcard Zone 6, about 15.5 miles (24.9 km) west of Charing Cross, with Hillingdon as the next station towards central London.
 
Uxbridge is one of the most architecturally distinguished stations on the Underground network. A classic Charles Holden “modern classical”/Art Deco–influenced design, often compared to his Cockfosters station at the other end of the Piccadilly line.
 
Interesting fact..
The station’s wow moment is its clerestory stained-glass windows by Erwin Bossanyi, an Austrian artist who fled Nazi Germany for London.
