Watercolour of the Palais Garnier, also known as the Opéra Garnier, is a historic opera house located in Paris’s 9th arrondissement. Commissioned by Napoleon III in 1860, it was designed by architect Charles Garnier and completed in 1875

 

The opera house is famous not only for its architectural beauty but also for inspiring Gaston Leroux’s Phantom of the Opera
