This study shows an early prototype of the classic British red telephone box, one of the most recognisable symbols of London and the UK. The design evolved through several versions before becoming the familiar K2 and K6 boxes.
 
Interesting facts…
The red colour was chosen to make the boxes highly visible, and many were designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, who also designed Battersea Power Station.
