The Alfred Tennyson in Belgravia is a Grade II-listed early-19th-century pub building that was formerly the Turk’s Head; today it is run by Cubitt House and is more dining-led than a traditional boozer.
Alfred Tennyson was the Victorian Poet Laureate and one of the best-known English poets of the 19th century.  He lived nearby.
