Tate Britain Millbank. It was actually known from 1897 to 1932 as the National Gallery of British Art. The rather beautiful building was designed by Sydney Smith and it was built in the site of the Millbank Prison. The prison was the holding place before convicts were shipped to Australia. Today it stores art rather than people, one of our best galleries.
