Senate House is the administrative centre of the University of London, a striking Art Deco tower in Bloomsbury. When completed in the 1930s it was one of the tallest buildings in London and a symbol of modern academic ambition.
 
Interesting facts…
During the Second World War the building was used for military intelligence and is said to have inspired the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell's *1984*.
