The Pont Neuf is the oldest standing bridge across the Seine in Paris, despite its name meaning "New Bridge". Its stone arches and decorative mascarons give it a dignified, classical character.

The bridge was completed in the early 17th century and was the first Paris bridge to be built without houses along its length.
