Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (BM&AG) is a museum and art gallery in Birmingham, England. It has a collection of international importance covering fine art, ceramics, metalwork, jewellery, natural history, archaeology, ethnography, local history and industrial history.

its a landmark of Victorian architecture, designed by Yeoville Thomason and opened in 1885. The building is part of the Grade II* listed Council House complex, facing Chamberlain and Victoria Squares in the city centre. One of the best ensembles in English architecture, in my view.

Interesting facts...

Among the quirky objects on display are the HP Sauce factory sign, Benjamin Zephaniah’s typewriter, and costumes from local legends
