Trinity Hall is the fifth-oldest college in the University of Cambridge, founded in 1350 with a strong early focus on training clergy and lawyers in canon and civil law after the Black Death!
Originally centred on law, it has since evolved into a general college teaching a wide range of arts, humanities, and sciences.
The main site lies between Trinity and Clare, with gardens running down to the River Cam—Henry James called this stretch “the prettiest corner of the world.” I have also painted this view!
Interesting facts...
It has numerous relics including the bones of saints from a long lost college which once sat next door.
