The Signal Pub Forest Hill. Directly opposite the station creates a grand Victorian cure along Devonshire and David's Road.  Built by 1881 to serve the station opposite and has been doing so ever since. Its perhaps the most iconic part of Forest Hill.

Interesting facts....

Directly outside the pub you will notice the strange tall curb and raised walkway along David's Road, This was actually the bank of a canal. The Croydon Canal opened in 1809 and ran from New Cross to Croydon, passing directly through Forest Hill.
