The hills of Piedmont. Rolling landscapes often covered with vineyards, hazelnut groves, and medieval villages, especially in well-known areas like Monferrato painted above. This hilly terrain is important for wine production, forming part of the UNESCO-listed vineyard landscapes, producing Barbera d’Asti, Moscato, Grignolino, and Freisa. I drank a lot of this while I was there!
