The Drayton Court Hotel in Ealing is one of London’s oldest boutique hotels and pubs, with a stricking its Victorian exterior, historic significance, and the largest beer garden in the city.
Opened in 1894, it was originally conceived as a family and residential hotel by the Stephens Brothers, with extensive gardens, tennis courts, a bowling green, and skittle courts.
Interesting fact...
Hồ Chí Minh, future leader of Vietnam, worked in the hotel’s kitchens in 1914 and perhaps lived here.
While living in London as a young political exile he undertook menial jobs but this exposed him to the plight of working people. Later he would visit Paris where his ideas on Communism formed.
