The Audley Public House occupies a prominent Grade II-listed late Victorian building at 41–43 Mount Street, on the corner with South Audley Street in Mayfair, a few minutes’ walk from Bond Street station. The five-storey red-brick and pink terracotta structure was originally built in 1888 to designs associated with architect Thomas Verity and is now noted as a landmark Mayfair gin-palace-style pub.

A pub has traded on this site since the 18th century, with the Audley licensed as a public house from around 1730, long before the current Victorian building was erected.

Interesting fact…

Michelle Obama visited The Audley in June 2009 with her daughters during a short private London trip, using it as the setting for a “classic English pub” experience and a low‑key family supper.
