Sofitel Dubai The Palm is a luxurious 5-star resort located on the eastern crescent of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s iconic man-made island.
The Palm was made from 110 million cubic meters of sand and 7 million tons of rocks from the mainland on top of sand dredged from the sea. It provides 56K of additional coastline and its form prevents erosion.
The process had a big impact on marine Ecology, which is still felt today.
