Skinners’ Hall is a Grade I Listed Building in the City of London, serving as the historic home of the Worshipful Company of Skinners for over 700 years. The original medieval structure was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666, but parts of the basement survived and are now protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The hall was rebuilt by 1672.

The Worshipful Company of Skinners, one of the Great Twelve City Livery Companies, originally engaged in the fur and leather trade, now focuses on philanthropy, education, and charitable work.

Interesting facts...

The Skinners’ Company itself dates back to at least 1327, with origins in religious fraternities connected to the fur trade. Its membership historically included both men and women, with detailed records preserved in illuminated vellum books from the 15th century.
