Preston Court is a privately owned country estate and popular wedding venue near Canterbury in Kent, known for its Georgian manor house, 17th‑century barn, lakes, and even a fairground!

Shown above is the listed Georgian manor house set within hundreds of acres of farmland, woodland, and ornamental lakes.

Interestingly the estate traces back to the 12th century as the favored home of Juliana de Leybourne, one of England’s wealthiest women, who owned multiple Kent manors. A medieval moated island on the grounds—Juliana’s Island—holds ruins of what may have been her palace, alongside the nearby 13th-century St Mildred’s Church.

Interesting facts...

Hidden in one of the barns sits “Brittania,” a vintage steam lorry owned by Michael, father of the current manager Anna. In the 1960s, he became the only person to circumnavigate the globe in a steam-powered vehicle, taking six years across places like Afghanistan and Australia
