Pencoed House is a historic Grade II* listed building near Capel Llaniltern in Pentyrch, Cardiff, Wales, with medieval origins and main construction from the 16th and 17th centuries.

The structure features medieval roots, possibly starting as a country mansion before adaptation into a farmhouse, with Tudor additions. Built around the early 15th century by Jevan ap David, it housed descendants of a King of Glamorgan, MPs, sheriffs, and church ministers.

Made of local stone and slate it blends so effortlessly into the Welsh Countryside.

Interesting facts...

Local lore claims it as a former residence of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, with tunnels where the Black Prince hid his wife. Some suggest early monastic origins due to the Gothic arch.
