The inconic view of the Manhattan bridge in watercolour taken from Washington Street. The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge in New York City that crosses the East River, connecting Lower Manhattan at Canal Street with Downtown Brooklyn. It was designed by Leon Moisseiff and completed in 1909, making it the youngest of the three major East River suspension bridges after the Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridges

 

Interesting facts ...

The first suspension bridge touse deflection theory. This was then used on the Golden Gate bridge.
