Jesus College, Oxford. The college was founded in 1571 by Queen Elizabeth I, making it the only Oxford college established during her reign. Its foundation was largely driven by Hugh Price, a Welsh churchman, and it has since maintained a strong Welsh identity, becoming known as “the Welsh college” at Oxford. Most of the college’s early fellows and students were from Wales, and Welsh traditions and connections remain prominent today. For example, there are distinctive college activities such as a Welsh language carol service and an annual St David’s Day dinner.
Interesting facts....
Jesus College is very old but sits on a site of a much older Benedictine nunnery.
I also believe it had the first 'Quad' in Oxford
