Watercolour of the Grand Central , New York. Grand Central Terminal (often called Grand Central Station) in New York City is a major commuter rail terminal located at 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The terminal is famous for its Beaux-Arts architecture, large Main Concourse with the iconic four-sided clock, and extensive underground passageways and platforms. It has 44 platforms and 67 tracks, more than any other railroad station in the world

Interesting fact...

Deep underground is the mysterious M42 basement, not shown on any maps, which houses vital converters supplying power to the terminal. During WWII, it was so secret that trespassers risked being shot on sight.

There’s an abandoned track (Track 61) with a platform beneath the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, famously used by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to discreetly enter and exit New York, avoiding public attention due to his disability
