Elmore Court is a Grade II* listed country house and estate in the village of Elmore, near Gloucester in Gloucestershire, England. The house has belonged to the Guise family for roughly 750–760 years and opened to the public as an exclusive‑use venue in 2013.
The Elmore estate was granted to the Guise family in the 13th century (often dated to 1262 or 1274), with a token annual rent of a “clove of Gillyflower.” thats some deal!
The wrought‑iron gates at the drive are themselves a transplant, about 300 years old and brought from Rendcomb.
Interesting facts....
The same family has held Elmore for roughly 750–800 years, making it one of England’s older continuous family seats.
