Watercolour of a popular gastropub.

The most famous building on Crawford Street is The Duke of Wellington, a long‑established pub at 94A Crawford Street, W1H 2HQ, on the corner with Wyndham Place.  It dates back to the early 19th century (originally as the Marquis of Wellington in 1812 and renamed Duke of Wellington in 1818) and now operates as a gastropub with a ground‑floor bar and an upstairs dining room.

Interesting facts....

The pub used to display a cheque signed by the Duke of Wellington on the front wall, plus a rich collection of Wellington‑related artefacts, photos, and ephemera in cabinets and on the windows. Where have they gone?
