Watercolour of the Entrance to the Bingham Riverhouse. I have also painted the rear view from the Thames.
Bingham Riverhouse is a boutique hotel, restaurant, and events venue set on the banks of the River Thames in Richmond, southwest London. Housed in two elegant Georgian townhouses once home to two poets.
Edith Cooper and Katherine Bradley, who wrote together under the pseudonym “Michael Field.” Their home became a hub for famous writers like W.B. Yeats and Robert Browning around the turn of the 20th century.
Intweresting fact...
The hotel is the UK’s only black-female owned hotel and members club, owned by Ruth Trinder, who bought it with her husband in 1984 as a family home and B&B, before their daughter Samantha transformed it into the boutique hotel it is today
