A festive view of the UK's most picturesque city, Bath. 
I have painted a few of the buildings that make this city great, and watercolour is the best way to capture the buttery stonework which makes it so iconic.
 
Bath Abbey is the large Gothic church that forms the eastern side of Abbey Churchyard, immediately beside the Roman Baths, and has been the principal church of the city for centuries. It helps that it has angels on ladders on the façade.
 
Interesting facts...
The present church was built between 1499 and 1533 on the site of earlier Norman and Saxon churches. Its fan-vaulted ceiling is one of the finest examples of late Perpendicular Gothic architecture.
