Aynhoe Park (often spelled Aynho or Aynehoe historically) is a Grade I listed 17th‑century country house and estate on the edge of Aynho village, near Banbury on the Oxfordshire–Northamptonshire border.

The house stands above the Cherwell Valley, which forms the county boundary between Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire, with long views over landscaped parkland. It sits in a Capability Brown landscape. The building is the result of several architects including Sir John Soane (my fav!)

Since 2020 the estate has been operated by the interiors brand RH as “RH England, The Gallery at Aynho Park” It has a gallery, hotel and restaurants.

Interesting facts...

The Estate consumed a village

The enlargement of the park in the late 18th century literally erased part of Aynho village: houses around Friars Well were demolished and roads were re‑routed so that the landscape composition would read as an uninterrupted private domain.
