All Hallows-on-the-Wall is an Anglican Church of England church located in the City of London, named for its position adjacent to the historic London Wall, the old Roman city wall. The current building was designed and rebuilt by George Dance the Younger in 1765-67 on the site of an earlier medieval church dating back to around 1120.

interesting fact..

The pulpit built into the north wall, which is part of the Roman Wall foundation. The vicar historically had to exit the city wall to enter the pulpit, leading to local jokes about preaching outside the city to preach inside
