The Wolseley is a restaurant located at 160 Piccadilly in London, England, next to the Ritz Hotel. It was designed by the architect William Curtis Green and opened in 1921 as a car showroom for Wolseley Motors. The building features Venetian and Florentine-inspired detailing, with marble pillars and archways. It was later a bank and even a Chinese restaurant. In 2003, it was renovated and reopened as an upscale European restaurant .

The Wolseley is known for its all-day café in the "Grand European" style, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. It has received numerous accolades, including Restaurant of the Year, Best Breakfast and Favourite Restaurant.

Interesting facts…

It was originally commissioned in 1921 as a prestigious car showroom for Wolseley Motors, which is why its architecture features dramatic doors and an automotive grandeur rarely seen in restaurants. It was also a Chinese restaurant before becoming the Wolseley
