Leadenhall Market is a historic, covered Victorian market located in the heart of London’s financial district, known for its ornate architecture, boutique shops, restaurants, and vibrant atmosphere. It dates back to the 14th century and stands on a site that has been used for trading since Roman times, making it one of the oldest markets in the city. The second image shows the big six markets which are also available.

Leadenhall was also the location of the Leaky Cauldron in Harry Potter. Perhaps even stranger if you pop into a hairdressers you will find the last bits of the largest Roman building North of teh Alps - The Londnium Basilica

Interesting facts....

In the 19th century, a goose named Old Tom became a beloved fixture of the market. Surviving a mass slaughter of his flock, Tom freely roamed the market, feasted on scraps, lived to the age of 37, and was so cherished he received an obituary in The Times in 1835. Today, you can raise a glass to his memory at Old Tom’s bar inside the market.
