Watercolour of the lovely Fishmongers’ Hall which sits just adjacent to london Bridge .

As a Grade II* listed building, it boasts a rich heritage dating back to 1310, serving as the headquarters of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers, one of the ‘Great Twelve’ livery companies. I used to walk past this building on my commute and its really the first sight of the City as you approach.

intersesting facts....

It has a chair made from timber and stone of Old London Bridge—this piece of furniture literally incorporates fragments from the earlier bridge that once stood beside the Hall. The seat is fashioned from the bridge’s stone, and the back is decorated with engravings of other bridge.

It also has a ledgendry dagger apparently used by Lord Mayor Walworth to kill rebel leader Wat Tyler in 1381 during the Peasants’ Revolt (although unlikely)
